Grande Ecaille is a community located in the parish of Plaquemines, Louisiana, United States

Geography

The town is located at , about 10 miles (16 km) west of Port Sulfur.[1] This community is only 3 feet (0.91 m) above sea level , making it an area prone to flooding. Its population consists of less than two hundred inhabitants. This community is located 71 kilometers from New Orleans, and 542 kilometres (337 mi) from the nearest international airport, Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport[2]
